Summer Fair Valence House

On Saturday 26th August First Ladies had a tombola stall at the Valence House Summer Fair, we had plenty of ladies who volunteered to help on the stall and we sold out of items on the stall.

Thanks goes out to all those who assisted in the organisation and set up of this event.

Picnics

In August we all had the opportunity to attend 2 different picnics.

One hosted by First Ladies at Valence House on Saturday 5th August, due to the wet weather this was held in the building rather than the walled garden.

Second was on Sunday 13th and was a get together with First Ladies, East Edge Sisters and Forest Gate WIs.

Although I personally didn't attend either picnic I have heard that fun was had by all that did attend.

We will also be voting for a new charity to support in the upcoming year, if you are not at the meeting you will not be able to vote.
The choices will be between:
We Rise - a local charity that supports women and families in domestic abuse situations,
Make Your Mark - a local charity that creates that supports positive change for local children and young families,
King George and Queens hospital charity - a local charity that covers so much that is not supplied by the NHS.
All 3 charities have recently spoken in our March and April meetings.
Think about what charity you would like to support in the upcoming year.
