14th February 2017 - Mansion House Walk
Some of us went on the Mansion House tour organised by Janet. We arrived in time and once we found the correct door, it was easy access, paying on entry. The guide was very interesting and willing to answer questions. We learned about the construction of the building, the role of the Lord Mayor and how the building is used. He included some witty stories along the way. Afterwards we had afternoon tea in the converted Corn Exchange before making our way home.

This was the first outing for the Gazebo!!! As you can see it looks very good and
we think we made a good job of dressing it up. We do now have sides as well, after a panic when a trial run was made of putting it up and the realisation that the sides were not there! They will be very important when its cold, wet and windy!! It was a beautiful day however and the number of people attending was very low but we did manage to talk to quite a few potential new members. Thank you to everyone who helped out by either making, baking or manning the stall.
